As we explore our rich history of having hard working ethic my father Charles Dowdy sr. Aka Keithroy Adams, Solo he Imbodied the very essence of his mother. He also worked in the construction field building home and building road through out the Caribbeans such as the world  renoun Point Udal the most eastern point of the United States located in St.croix USVI.

Mr.Dowdy played an important role in the road development on the island of St.croix as well highways which he had an hand in designing the bypass the newest highway Heading east bound. the  workers that worked with him felt very adamant that the bypass should have named the Dowdy bypass facts

Here's another greatness Leroy Christopher aka (Garfield) well renoun athlete who played football one of Antigua and Barbuda finest, they're many documented stories of him here's below sports newspaper featuring him.

Garfield also worked in the Government in his latter years. As we bear witness to grandma continue legacy thriving within everyone of us.

Elder Carlton R. Thomas is also affectionately known as “Sammy” and “Brother” by family, friends, and members of the community—names that reflect the warmth, love, and respect he has earned throughout his years of faithful service. His life and ministry stand as a testament to dedication, leadership, and unwavering faith in God.

Elder Carlton R. Thomas began his journey in ministry when he was ordained as a deacon in 1979 at First New Zion Baptist Church in the Bronx, New York. Demonstrating a deep commitment to his faith and calling, he continued to grow in service to the Lord. In February 1981, he preached his initial sermon, boldly answering the call to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

In May 1985, Pastor Thomas was ordained and licensed as a Minister of the Gospel. That same year, he began serving as pastor of the Willing Workers Unified Freewill Baptist Church.

 

During his tenure there, Pastor Thomas faithfully nurtured and developed leaders within the church, ordaining six "sons" of the ministry who would continue the work of spreading the Gospel.

 

A man known for peace, compassion, and service, Pastor Thomas has dedicated himself to uplifting both the church and the broader community. He served as a volunteer pastor at the Morrisonian Senior Citizen Center, in the Bronx, New York, providing spiritual guidance and encouragement to seniors.

 

In addition, he served as a counselor for the New York Police Department’s 42nd Precinct, offering support and guidance to members of law enforcement.

 

Pastor Thomas has also provided leadership beyond the local church. From 1991 to 1998, he served as Administrative Assistant of the Northeast Atlantic Conference of Freewill Baptist Churches. His dedication to ministry and organizational leadership led to his election in 1996 as First Vice Moderator of the Interborough Baptist Association.

 

In February 1998, Elder Carlton R. Thomas was elected pastor of St. John Unified Freewill Baptist Church, where he was officially installed and continued to faithfully shepherd the congregation with wisdom, humility, and devotion to the word of God.

Sammy Christopher is the embodiment of his mother spirit in the entrepreneurship. Becoming one of the leading Bus driving services or Business on the island of Antigua. Sammy contributed much to the life style and it's community through transportation services.

Whether involving with tourism or locally Bus services Sammy Christopher plays an important role of progress on the beautiful island of Antigua and it's development. Again here we can see the self confidence or self sufficient minds which stems from Grandma trickle down to her children..to family members we can do anything and everything if we put our minds to it!


Shirley  Christopher was a faithful churchgoer and a longtime member of Harold O. Davis Memorial Baptist Church, now known as House of Faith. She had a strong and unwavering faith in God, a forgiving spirit, and a smile that lit up every room.

 

Auntie Shirley took great joy in worship, fellowship, and serving others within her church community. She loved to travel and was known for her generosity. She emphasized the importance of education, accountability, and decency, values she lived by each day.

 

Auntie Shirley was an amateur poet, a talented writer,  and voracious reader. She was also a gifted indoor and outdoor gardener who lovingly cared for her plants, often speaking to them daily. A breast cancer survivor, Auntie Shirley exemplified strength, resilience, and faith in the face of adversity. 

 

Music was a passion of hers—especially gospel—and she also adored most genres.  Auntie Shirley’s life was a beautiful example of faith, kindness, grace, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.



Kenford Georgeaka (Bugazoo) was a man of many trades like his younger brother he played football as well .. however due to injury Bugazoo continue on the side line in a different role coaching. Football became life for Bugazoo it was not just an game but it's culture. He began coaching football both men's league as well as the young adults. 

Kenford love coaching kids I've  heard many stories of the games played the excitement on his face when his is talking about the kids win lose or draw is a sight to behold for anyone that knows him knows what I'm talking about.

Kenford Bugazoo George is retired now living in the USVI on the island of ST.Croix as I mentioned he is a man of many trades he was also a master welder weather gate fencing or just repairing metal framing he did that the best on the island. The Shaw Legacy continuess to shine through everything that each one of us participated in.
